AW says: This is in a bit nicer condition than the matching armchair you've just had me appraise. It's obviously the mate to it. The same caveats to re-upholstering would apply here. 

When investing in upholstered furniture, one should remember that it is very style specific to potential buyers. This is why large furniture stores need to carry a large inventory or supply a catalog of thousands of styles and fabrics to stay  in business.
