The last gallery we visited was Holly Ready Studio, which has the most magical landscape paintings that evoke dreamlike images with a supremely masterful touch. About 15 years ago, as a 20-something and a new mother, I purchased a Holly Ready painting of a little girl wearing a rain coat and sniffing the flowers in her mother’s garden. It reminded me of my little girl and I was thrilled to have a painting to capture that period in our lives. Now 15 years later, Holly’s style has evolved, matured, and improved (much as I have) to a place where her work continues to speak to me. ![]() Surf and Patterns - oil on canvas, 24" x 24", 2009 Hours into our Comments: What a wonderful glimpse into your world. Comments: Oooo - I am so aching to go to Maine. My partner lived in Camden for a period of time after high school, and he's always had fond things to say about the Maine coast. I think this fall we'll drive up and take the lighthouse tour. What a wonderful tour you've given us through your blog! I'm so back you've gotten back on the horse - your blog will be a daily stop! Comments: I didn't know you had a blog..such a treat! What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. I'm jealous, I spent mine in the backyard with 3 dirty kids!! Thanks for sharing!
